Organizations can also leverage REST web services for connecting to the enterprise systems such as Sharepoint, Salesforce, SAP, Oracle Siebel, PeopleSoft, and JD Edwards, IBM WebSphere, and MQ (requires custom connectors).

Blogger

Blogger is a blog-publishing service that allows private or multi-user blogs with time-stamped entries. It was created by Pyra Labs, which was bought by Google in 2003. Generally, the blogs are hosted by Google at a subdomain of blogspot.com. Blogger allows its users to choose from various templates available and fully customize them. Blogger is available in more than 40 different languages.

Eventbrite is a website that allows event organizers to plan, set up ticket sales and promote events of any size and publicize them across Facebook, Twitter and other social-networking tools directly from the site's interface. It also enables attendees to find and purchase tickets to these events. Founded in 2006 by Kevin Hartz, Julia Hartz and Renaud Visage, Eventbrite is headquartered in San Francisco, CA.

MailChimp

MailChimp is an email marketing service provider, founded in 2001. It has more than 3 million users in 200 countries and sends over 4 billion emails a month. Using MailChimp people can create signup forms that match their brand's look and feel, and send the subscribers product updates, event invitations, announcements, editorial content etc. It is used to improve campaigns and learn more about subscribers.

Salesforce.com is a global enterprise software company headquartered in San Francisco, California. Though best known for its customer relationship management (CRM) product, Salesforce has also expanded into the "social enterprise arena". It is currently ranked the most innovative company in America by Forbes magazine, as well as number 27 in Fortune's magazine's 100 Best Companies to Work For in 2012.

SoundCloud

SoundCloud is an online audio distribution platform that allows collaboration, promotion and distribution of audio recordings by users. It was established in Berlin, Germany in August, 2007 by sound designer Alex Ljung and artist Eric Wahlforss. With the intention of allowing musicians to share recordings with each other, it soon transformed into a full publishing tool with more than 10 million registered users.

Twitter

Twitter is an online social networking service and microblogging service that enables its users to send and read text-based messages known as "tweets". Twitter was created in March 2006 by Jack Dorsey. The service rapidly gained worldwide popularity, with over 500 million registered users as of 2012, generating over 340 million tweets daily and handling over 1.6 billion search queries per day. Since its launch, Twitter has become one of the ten most visited websites on the Internet.

Vimeo

Vimeo is a US-based video-sharing website on which users can upload, share and view videos. It was founded by Jake Lodwick and Zach Klein in November 2004. The name Vimeo is a play on the word video, inserting the word "me" as a reference to the site's dedication to user-made video and is also an anagram of the word "movie". Vimeo attracts about 65 million visitors per month and has more than 8 million registered users; 15% of the traffic comes from mobile devices.

Weather Underground

Weather Underground is a commercial service that provides real-time weather information via the Internet. Its reports are available for most major cities across the world on wunderground.com, as well as local weather reports for newspapers and different web sites. The service distributes Internet radio feeds of NOAA Weather Radio stations from across the country and The Associated Press uses Weather Underground to provide national weather summaries.
